Weekend...

We made the most of the sunny weather both Saturday & Sunday, plus we got in oodles of family time. Friday night was triple A baseball in Everett with D's brother, wife, and our nephew Jacob. Saturday after D got off work we hit the lake and headed north in search of smoother water so D could try out his new waterski...we didn't find smooth water and so the ski was put away and the inflatable towable was pulled out, filled with air and Jacob was tossed in it...when he crashed it was glorious! Sunday we all decided to get up early and get out on the water ASAP before to many other boats hit the water... So Jacob and my BIL met us at our house about 7:45 to head to Seattle. Skiing and knee boarding were both successful, not to mention just general lounging on the boat with occasional jumps into the lake... We ended the weekend with another Aquasox baseball game (they won!) Jacob joined us for that as well... Of course I have my knitting with me at all the ga

Turn & Burn...

That was how our trip back to Minnesota felt this past weekend. We left on Saturday and returned to Seattle on Monday morning. It was a glorious weekend surrounded by family. Lots of cuddling with Bump and Miss A. Wrestling with Bird and Bear. It was a family photo weekend and I can't wait to see the final shots... Best memory from this weekend...there were so many, but the one that comes to mind most often is... Jumping off the dock in my clothes from the photo shoot with D and my brother C. 2 days is never enough time to be with your family but we made the most of it and enjoyed being with each other for the time we had. Happy Wednesday!

Monday's...

For the next six weeks... Beginning drawing.

Our weekend in pictures...

Friday evening started after an amazingly long, much need nap. D woke me just in time to get dressed and head to another Aquasox game. Unfortunately because of adverse weather prior to the game it was delayed and ultimately cancelled but they had fireworks and we had full beers so we stayed to enjoy both! Saturday we headed to Lake Union and took our boat thru the 'cut' from Lake Union to Lake Washington and spent a long day on the water...the 'cut' goes right thru the University of Washington...the graffiti along the water is showing support for UW crew. I've spent most of my life near Lake Washington and this is the first time I've ever been on it or thru the cut. I loved it! Lake Washington is pretty choppy to begin with on the weekends, but add to that young kids with boats, wind and intermittent rain showers it wasn't looking to be a nice day. I had a run in with the outboard trying to reboard the boat after swimming...it wasn't running at the

We interrupt your regularly scheduled program...

To bring you summer. I have family and friends who reside in the Midwest, southwest, and along the east coast...all the reports of sweltering heat, record high temperatures, and blah blah blah... That has not been the case here... Mom would call and tell me how hot it was back in minneapolis while I'm adjusting my scarf and debating if I can pull off a wool beret on June 24. That is how it has been right up until July Fourth. Someone flipped the switch that finally brought summer to the western side of the cascades... I plan on enjoying it to the fullest... Happy Wednesday!
