The Little Adobe: part iv

Okay. I know I've given you a lot of scenery. Tons of scenery. Stunning scenery shots. Well... I can't say that you aren't going to get that today as well but I did pull some photos from my iPhone so I'll mix it up a bit. Also, we're headed to Big Sur today so I'll apologize in advance of the photos you'll get tomorrow. Maybe I'll be the weirdo who starts taking photos of her food so you guys don't get bored. Oh and I am a knitter. Why are there no photos of yarn? I'll work on that too... We took it fairly easy yesterday. Cruised over to Asilomar State Beach. Beautiful walking paths along the rocky coast that lead to a beautiful expanse of white sand beach and crashing waves. And dogs. Mom was in big dog heaven. Not a dog passed her that didn't get ear scratches and love from mom. Let me tell you guys a not so big secret. Pacific Grove and Carmel are dog towns. They are everywhere and I would say 90% of them are rescues.

Little Adobe 2016: Part iii

Yesterday we took a long walk along the other side of the coastal trail. Lovers Point is our start point for everything since it's literally across the street from the Adobe. Again, I apologize (not really) for all the coastal shots. It's hard to capture the magic in photos but I hope you can feel a little of it? It's stunning. Simply stunning. If you ever get a chance to come to this area you must stroll thru Pacific Grove and along the Coastal Trail. Today we're going to be chill. We went into Carmel again yesterday. I hit the Carmel Road tasting room and picked up a bottle of Barrymore Pinot Grigio and a bottle of Barrymore Pinot Rose I also tasted them both. Delicious. Go buy some. Now. I'll wait. No I won't but you can order it online and it's super reasonably priced and a great great summer wine. Mom and I are going to enjoy some tonight with our grilled chicken, risotto, and fresh asparagus. We'll probably wonder down to Asilomar and

The Little Adobe 2016 Part ii

Oh Pacific Grove. This place is overwhelming in how it can touch you. The beauty of the coastline. The charming victorian homes, cottages, adobe houses. You can walk and drive, and not see everything you want. You have to keep coming back. For mom and I it's like coming home. To a special place that is all our own. We wandered around Carmel yesterday morning. We'll head over there again before we go so I can snap some more photos. We can't miss a sign of Carmel in Carmel right? We took a stroll along the trail on the coastline last night... Remember, I warned you a lot of these were coming. I couldn't resist photographing this mans fantastic jacket.  mom, watching me crab-walk my way down the rocks to get closer to the water... probably panicking just like she did when we were kids...  I love this. Roots climbing down the side of the cliff and the tree is strong and beautiful.  another point of beauty
