This was my timehop today...

The Stash...

We all know I have a big stash. 1.5 years working in a yarn shop added a lot to it. Mom stumbling onto a windfall of yarn and sending me two suitcases full really stepped things up. It's really really out of hand. To the point that I know I have stuff in there and I couldn't tell you where it is...   Some of you may know and some of you may not know that Ravelry has a fancy little tool where you can log your stash so you have quick reference to your yarn and when you see a project you like it'll tell you that you have the yarn that will work for it. So, taking a deep deep breath. I'm pulling the whole stash this weekend and I'm going to photograph and log the whole thing. It's definitely going to take the whole three days. However, I think that in the long run I'll be happy I did, especially since I have a lot of sweaters I want to knit for myself this year and I'm 99.9% certain I have all the yarn for it. I just need to find it.

Phoebe caught in the act of covering herself up... I have a friend. She's a pretty knew knitter. She took on a project that, while it's not overly ambitious, the timing made it stressful. Distraught she brought me the project to to rip out. There is a new deadline for the project and she just doesn't have the time, plus there is a little project anxiety in there, to get it done. Enter Me. I cut the yarn and hooked the mohair lace and aran tweed up to my ball winder and went to town. Re-cast on the stitches and I am well on my way to getting it done for her to gift next week. It Came in Like a Wrecking Ball...

Just like that we're into 2016. So far this week has brought:  1. An update to my hair color. Thanks AG for getting me in even though I left my wallet at home. Thank goodness I've memorized my charge number. 2. Losing my phone. Finding my phone. Thank you to the Cloud and 'find my iphone' app, not to mention my boss who kept hitting the locator button as I ran back down to my car a third time to try and find it. 3. Getting rear-ended in the garage by a woman wolfing down a sugar wafer cookie. Don't worry D, I checked it over real good after I asked the woman four times to move her car. It went a little like this: totally unrelated to the story but this what my face looked like i'm sure. Me to K: I think she hit me. K: She definitely hit you. Me: gets out of car The Guilty Party (TGP): Looks bewildered as to why I'm out of my car. Me: You just hit my car. (I'm saying this to the woman who is still sitting in her car looking annoy
