Oh Christmas...

We had a white Christmas!   Not as white as Pennsylvania but definitely white for Washington standards. We spent the whole weekend with family. Ate too much food. Maybe had too much drink. Received a lot of drink related gifts. I think that says something about my state of mind this year... maybe. We had my niece/Rental and her husband over Saturday evening for drinks, dinner, and appetizers. We discussed the rough plan for my other rentals bridal shower. It's going to be amazing.   Christmas Eve we were surrounded by our friends. My father, father-in-law and his wife didn't make it unfortunately due to the ice and snow but, my brother-in-law, his wife and son made it along with our very dearest Framily that we have gotten to know from hockey. fun with snapchat Christmas morning my husbands older brothers family and in-laws joined us for brunch and gifts. It was perfect. Then we packed up dinner and took it to my mother-in-laws to round out the w

Day 12: How I Procrastinate

I am the queen of justification. I will always find a reason to put off doing something unpleasant or tedious. Until crunch time and then I get a lot done. This mostly occurs when I need to get the house ready for a party or dinner guests. The result is shoving a bunch of stuff in random closets and not being able to find them again... Like the year I misplaced my Christmas Ornaments. Who misplaces Christmas Ornaments. This girl. A whole great big box of them. I put them in our bedroom closet vs. the guest closet and then proceeded to bury them with random crap the rest of the year that would make its way into our closet. I found them. The day after Christmas when I thought it would be a good day to clean the closet. How do I procrastinate? I justify not doing stuff immediately convincing myself I have plenty of time to get it all done. I'm a master at it. Please don't open my bathroom cabinet. You could probably do a whole Scavenger Hunt with the rand

Oh Friday Night

Date night. A hot date with yet another ball of yarn a new project cast on and a glass of excellent Chardonnay. Honestly with the way life has been these past few weeks, months, years, I have been looking forward to a night like this for a long time. Workout ✅ Lounge-abouts on ✅ Christmas tree lit ✅ Happy Friday.

Day 11: Weird Quirk

I like to keep a stash of foods that I'm not 'supposed' to eat in my desk drawer. For some random reason just knowing they're available when I want them makes it easier to resist them. I think way back amongst the pens are a few Dove darks. They've been there a while. Just waiting for an at work meltdown like my great meltdown of December 2015. Oh year end. You bring out the best in me.
