A Little Monday Excitement......

Well first, lets state the obvious........I got a spanking new phone to replace HomeSkillet (my blackberry) with over the weekend. I promptly texted Margie and asked what app she used for her super cool photos and BAM I am having all sorts of fun now......
Second: I bet I could spit a longer distance than the amount of yarn I have left to knit my Sweet Vermouth with......so we can all say 'Hey, she's within Spitting Distance of getting something finished.................Not bad, not bad at all.
Third: There are changes on my horizon, some good, some not so good, but the upside is they are my decision and I am happy with them as such.
Fourth: with my new camera app I can make a funny noise with the camera right before I snap the picture and that's how I got Mr. Brown to give me the look that says 'I wish she'd stop taking my F$%&ing picture.' I'm sure he's not the only one who thinks that but I don't mind.........I love him and shall force my love for him upon all of you.............
happy monday

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
