You would think....

Or maybe it's just me......that this hat is taking forever but it's not, I'm 10 rows from the end and a good blocking over a dinner plate from wearing it. I think I'm the only person who doesn't mind that it's still chilly in the mornings and at night here, it means I'll get to wear this before summer actually arrives and not look like a total goober walking down the street showing off my beautiful hand knit hat in 80 degree heat with sweat pouring down my face.
See......Silver Lining.

P.S. a discussion my friend and I had yesterday revolved around airport delays......I personally love them, unless I haven't packed enough yarn in my carry-on bag.

P.P.S. My Garbage can potatoes are growing like gangbusters! One of these times I'll remember to bring my camera down to snap a photo of them for you!

Happy Friday
I'm off to see the Mariners vs. New York Yankees tonight

Nice!

I look forward to seeing how your potatoes are growing. What other veggies do you grow? I haven't tried potatoes. When I had more time I used to grow a little bit of everything, but now I just grow tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, herbs and flowers.

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
