Lost...

I don't know how it happened, when it happened, or why but it's gone. I have searched everywhere for it and it's like it vanished into thin air......there are pieces of it laying about, sadly discarded around my house and I touch them thinking to myself 'why?' Did I abandon it? Did it feel neglected? I don't know what to do...I can try and force myself thru this, the 'fake it till you make it theory' but I seem to be lacking the umpf to do so...I find myself, laying in bed at night watching TV and NOT knitting..........hopefully this is a phase...I just don't have it in me...I crank out a few rows and then 'blah' toss it aside. I pick up a different project, knit a row, 'meh' toss it aside.........repeat night after night.

it's a little bit scary

It looks like it'll be okay though, because Steven over at Bitches Get Stitches got his groove back so I am confident that mine will be back too (hopefully sooner than later) Hey, Steven!! If you see my mojo over in your neck of the woods can you Bitch slap it back to Washington? That would be great!!

I don't have time for it to be gone.....I haven't taken a summer off in 5 years from knitting!! Especially since what is happening here weather wise you would never confuse with summer!

SSYC... My First Official Yarn Crawl...

It's true... I've never actually participated in a yarn crawl or LYS tour. When I worked at So Much Yarn I had the pleasure of working the weekend of the LYS Tour but I've never done it. Well, the SSYC, South Sound Yarn Crawl covers 9 shops that aren't included for whatever reason in the Seattle LYS Tour that covers around 25 shops in the area. Maybe they're too far off the beaten path. It's not because they aren't in Seattle because there are shops way way way out of town that are included in the Seattle LYS tour. Whatever the reason, it's not important. What is important is that Mary and I both took Friday off and hit the road. I caught the 7:15 Ferry to Kingston, Arrived at Mary's about 8:00. Mary and I have the same china. Mine came from my Grandmother, her's came from her mom. Tried making friends with her fluffy dog Mae. Someday she'll come to love me, for now I'll respect her tenative personality and love her fro...

I could have used another week...

Last week was wonderful... D and I traveled to Scottsdale, AZ to spend time with Mom and G as well as attend some Cactus League Spring Training Baseball. The weather was amazing (after Sunday and Monday's rain storms) High 80's the rest of the week, and sun sun sun and more sun... Waking up in the morning and being able to lounge on the patio with my coffee. Wearing shorts for a week... and finally... Finally I got to see a cactus bloom! We always come to early in the season for it and it bums me out, but not this time...Nope, this time I got to see it. And it was wonderful more pictures to come as well as a 'Favorite Things' post on what I love to do when I am there...

Happy Birthday Mom!

I know I know, I'm a couple days early but I wanted to make sure you saw it before you sailed off to the deep blue sea... Literally. I've been thinking for a few days on what I would write for you on your birthday. How to best express just how amazing you are and how amazing it is that I got you for my mom. You've given me so much in my life that I am grateful for, that to try and put it into words would take a lifetime. I love the time we spend together. I love the way we laugh together. We've come so far and our adventures aren't over yet. I love you mom. Happy Birthday
