Movie Review?

I've been watching a lot of movies lately...Hitting the RedBox at QFC pretty hard and while I'll post on Facebook what I'm watching I don't really go into the detail about how I like the movie when it's done.
So, my friend Fatima suggested that I do random blog postings about the movies I've seen recently. Good and Bad...I am going to do a bit of research first on other movie reviews so I don't disappoint. Stay Tuned...
In other news, it's still chilly here, there was promise of sun today but at 2:00 a.m. when Old Man Mr. Brown wanted to go outside, it was raining. At 4:00 a.m. when I rolled my cranky self out of bed it was misting. My yard is a jungle, I'm pretty sure a machete would serve me quite well in the hacking down of tropical growth. I think my tomato plant grew an inch yesterday...hopefully I'll get a tomato off of it, I have my doubts though. Hopefully the sun will arrive today, again, I have my doubts. I hate to complain that our weather is so cool and crappy when apparently the rest of the country is having a heatwave. I think if you would point your fans in the direction of the Pacific Northwest you could change the weather pattern :)
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this picture of The Baby...aka Gabby.

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
