*POSTED*

As many of you saw yesterday I finally posted the pattern for the Nacho Getter's.
Not only did I post it here, I posted it on Ravelry here. So just give me a moment to continue my happy dance at seeing MY pattern under the heading 'Recently Added Patterns'...and my name listed as a designer, it feels a bit like a hoax, like i've fooled everyone into believing something that can possibly be true, but it is and it's up to me to keep it going right?
Not only that, 7 people have added it to their queue's!
I hope it's good.
It's a little piece of me that I sent out into the knitterly world not knowing for sure if it was 100% prepared but knowing that it's good enough to hold it's own in the big knitting universe.
It's given me enough of a thrill that I'm ready to type up and post some of the other item's I've created this past year and to also begin the process of creating more wonderful things...I just have to remembe a few things;

I can do it.
I can create it.
I can make it take the shape I want it to have.
I can set it free and watch how the world of knitting accepts it.
WHeeee!
It's an adventure, that's for sure, that comes with a mild little wrench in the gut, hoping it's good enough and that people find the joy in them that I did.

Happy Wednesday Monday (wow, clearly I have no idea what day it is)

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
