crazy is as crazy does...

I'm knitting like crazy now but seem to be accomplishing nothing...I have a stack of stuff that needs just a little bit more done and it will be a finished object...
a second sleeve
a button band
buttons sewn on
eyes to knit up (owl)
finish a yoke
knit a second slipper
weave in tails (i really really need to be in the mood to do this otherwise it drives me bonkers)
Along with hauling a 17lb turkey down I5 this Thursday I'm packing up my knitting basket so I can maybe work on this stuff while the turkey finishes cooking and I can hang out with Mom, D, and G on Lake Union.

It's pretty stormy here today so I'm thinking about mom down on the lake in the floating house she is staying in....there is a part of me that secrety hopes it got rocking pretty good but I doubt it. I think they anchor in pretty well.

I'll post pictures of everything soon.

You haven't finished your owl yet?! lol -- I know what you mean! I have a TON of stuff that's either unfinished or completely abandoned. I'm thinking up a plan to finish these projects in 2012 and try to *only* work from my stash and see if other knitters want to "participate" in a moment of solidarity. Are you IN?

I'm totally in on the 2012 stash knitting! The owl...it's the eyes I have to finish but I'm not happy with the colors I have so I'm looking for more color choices!

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
