Joy in my Heart...

I've come to the conclusion that if you don't do something with Joy in your Heart then it really isn't going to be worth it in the end. I'm not talking about the big things either. Everything you tackle in your life should bring you happiness, even if it's laundry, because lets be honest people, the best feeling in the world is climbing into bed between fresh laundered sheets pulled taut on a bed.

Joy in your Heart
it's the best way to keep moving forward.
The more you do.
The more Joy you have.

Before Sedation and stitches. He seems happy with himself.

Most of you know that we had to take Mr. Brown to the emergency vet Tuesday night.
No worries, he is doing fine.
He cut the back of his leg open just above his foot. He hit something in the back yard with it. It was dark and we still haven't found the culprit although we have our suspitions...
He had to be sedated mildy which the nurse said he seemed to enjoy (I wonder where he gets that from)
So he is resting.
Gabby is mad at him because he got a car ride and she didn't so we are going to make that up to her tonight.
She gets a cheeseburger at McDonalds and then we are taking her to PetSmart to pick out a new ball.

post sedation-stitches and the comedy effort getting him home. safe sound and sleepy

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
