Off My Game...

Not surprising though really...
At the beginning of the holidays I was whacked with a viscious cold virus and even today still have a lingering cough.
I never really got into the holiday spirit.
I've been knitting but not documenting any of it.
My Ravelry hasn't been updated in ages.
My Christmas tree is still up. (and yes I'm still plugging it in at night)

My current project is one for Miss B. I am making Girlfriends Swing Coat by Wendy Bernard. I'm using Lion Brand Wool-Ease for her in Azaela Pink. It's lovely and I'm almost done with the main body. Thanks to a marathon of 'Game of  Thrones' yesterday I was able to work my way down to the beginning of the seed stitch border.

No I don't have a photo of my progress.
Yes I'll take one today.

I've also joined the 2012 Stash Busting Challenge put on by Kelly P of Creating a Family home...
I have an obscene amount of yarn.

obscene.

I'll take a picture of that too.

The Challenge: To knit only from what you have in your stash as of December 31, 2011. If all I knit were a pair of socks per month I'd be set for at least six years!

I'm excited to dive into my big trunk and start pulling projects that I carefully planned out last year...

Join us! Lets see what we can all get done in 2012!

I promise, pictures later today!

Happy New Year
xoxo

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
