Weekend...

We made the most of the sunny weather both Saturday & Sunday, plus we got in oodles of family time.
Friday night was triple A baseball in Everett with D's brother, wife, and our nephew Jacob.

Saturday after D got off work we hit the lake and headed north in search of smoother water so D could try out his new waterski...we didn't find smooth water and so the ski was put away and the inflatable towable was pulled out, filled with air and Jacob was tossed in it...when he crashed it was glorious!

Sunday we all decided to get up early and get out on the water ASAP before to many other boats hit the water... So Jacob and my BIL met us at our house about 7:45 to head to Seattle.

Skiing and knee boarding were both successful, not to mention just general lounging on the boat with occasional jumps into the lake...

We ended the weekend with another Aquasox baseball game (they won!) Jacob joined us for that as well...

Of course I have my knitting with me at all the games...how do you like my melon socks so far?

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
