Little Ball of Panic...

It's no secret that I knit a lot.
It's no secret that I always have yarn on me in some form.
There have also been witnesses to what happens when I do not have a project with me.

The panic.
The distraction.
The disbelief that I really actually forgot it.
The distraction.
The inability to function temporarily while I struggle to figure out what to do.

During the week I knit during my lunch.
Have done this for the past 3-4 years.

I brought a lot of stuff to work today.
I brought packages that I need to ship on my way home.
I brought a finished objet that needs to be wrapped.
I even brought a freaking Gooey Butter Cake

I didn't bring my newest project.

Happy Freaking Monday.

I'm hoping that Marcy has a pair of dpn's because I know I have a partial ball of yarn rolling around in my car.

Sounds like me. Cannot not have something to work on, the agitation is enormous. Everyone in the family knows this. " keep calm and carry yarn (and needles to work with)"

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
