Changes...

Not to the blog or knitting. This is a little more personal...

I've had some tummy trouble the past few months.
I've always had issues with dairy but it wasn't bad.
Recently it's become bad. I've done a little digging and read on a few sites that having an allergy to gluten can exacerbate lactose intolerance. So before seeing the doctor I'm going to to change my diet for the next week. No gluten, no dairy, meat only in small amounts probably once a day...

Now the 'trouble' I'm having is really more discomfort and an upset bloated tummy feeling...

The website I'm gathering recipe ideas from and inspiration is Oh She Glows by Angela Lidden. She's a vegan blogger and recipe creator.
I've made quite a few of her dishes and they are wonderful. I'm looking forward to this experiment, mostly so I feel better :)

Tomorrows lunch is a quinoa brown rice black bean salad with a spicy fresh jalapeño lime dressing that I whipped up...

Stay tuned.
Let 'Operation Digestion' begin.

Also consider diverticulitus,(sp), I once ate too many raspberries, pesky little seeds.

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
