finished object: Baby Vertebra

It's actually the "Newborn Vertebrae" but I did it in DK Weight. Newborn size numbers, heavier yarn. This will fit Baby G nicely in September and hopefully till Christmas.
Yarn is from Fancy Image Yarn in Shelton Wa. Myra dyes all the yarn herself and she's a genius!
Contrast is from KnitPicks, superwash wool of the andes.

It's so stinking cute! I can't wait to see him in it!
Actually I can't wait to see him! His due date was yesterday but he arrived earlier than expected so yesterday he was a month and a day old! Happy 1 month buddy!!

In other news I apparently put a chip in the back of my tooth last night and have to go to the dentist today for a repair... Hopefully it goes better than last time when they numbed me so much I looked like this for about 60 minutes post filling...

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
