Make It...

On our recent trip to Orlando we stopped for dinner several times at this local Italian place by our condo.

Each time I ordered the Chicken Pallermo.

Every. Single. Time.

Two chicken cutlets pan fried and tossed with a white wine butter sauce with artichoke hearts, baby peas, and pepperoncinis.

Amazing.

I found this recipe link when we got home and have been itching to try it.

Welcome Monday.

You want a fast tasty dinner?

You can crack thus out in less than an hour.

I did make a few changes.
I nixed the dredging in flour and the frying in butter.

Serve with your favorite whole wheat noodles and green veggie and you have a perfect dinner!

Looks delish! How would it be without the pasta? I gave up breads and pasta and damn is it tough!!

why did you give up bread and pasta? It's good without the pasta too... maybe try it with quinoa or brown rice.

If you didn't fry in butter, did you just sear the chicken in oil then bake?

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
