Oh Christmas...

 We had a white Christmas!

Not as white as Pennsylvania but definitely white for Washington standards.
We spent the whole weekend with family.
Ate too much food.
Maybe had too much drink.
Received a lot of drink related gifts.
I think that says something about my state of mind this year...
maybe.

We had my niece/Rental and her husband over Saturday evening for drinks, dinner, and appetizers. We discussed the rough plan for my other rentals bridal shower. It's going to be amazing.

Christmas Eve we were surrounded by our friends. My father, father-in-law and his wife didn't make it unfortunately due to the ice and snow but, my brother-in-law, his wife and son made it along with our very dearest Framily that we have gotten to know from hockey.

Christmas morning my husbands older brothers family and in-laws joined us for brunch and gifts. It was perfect.
Then we packed up dinner and took it to my mother-in-laws to round out the weekend.

Phoebe stayed home and rested. It was three days of people who she enjoyed but is a lot for her to handle for long and she gets a bit cranky... lol

She got a new baby, a box of biscuits and this fancy new light for her collar so I can see her running around the yard at night.

I hope everyone had a magical holiday.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Peace out Christmas

The 'To-Do' list...

and by 'to-do' list I mean 'to-knit' list. I'm really really trying to get on track with this list and stay deeply focused. It has helped that I have successfully removed all yarn from the living room and into Mr. Brown's Yarn shop on the second floor. Except for the fact that I went in there the other day with a shopping bag and loaded up. Currently in the sidelines to be finished 1. Ledge Trail Vest 2. Twiggy for me 3. 70 Yard Mitt for my other hand Finished those bad boys last night! this is what happens when you use the 10s burst hands free option on your iphone and you're holding said phone with your chinny chin chin. On the List: 1. Twiggy for a Christmas gift 2. Iris the Gourmet Monster but since it's for a boy I'm calling it Orvil. 3. Great White Shart Shark 4. Bosco - for me 5. Stillhouse Vest - for me 6. Woodsy - for me 7. Three Seahawk themed hats as gifts. 8. Gifts for friends... and on and on and on If you...

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! Pattern: Baby Sophisticate Yarn: Big tweedy Cashmere (lucky boy) Please check out Robin's shop on Etsy I know you'll find buttons you love and she does amazing work!

W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
