Proud Moment...

I did it.
You guys...
I DID IT.
I figured out where I was in Peerie Flooers.
I figured out my color card with wine*
I made a lot of progress last night watching Friends.

The dpn is marking where I left off four years ago and you can see how much got done last night.
Side note: I have never ever watched the final episode of Friends. I can't bring myself to do it.
Yes I know the show ended 14 years ago.
I will cry though. I will cry like no one should cry at the end of a series.
Like I cried at the series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
My husband loves to tell people I cried for the whole two hours.

Back to the PF and my glorious glorious glow of accomplishment.

I finished knitting it.
I only had eight rounds to go when I set it down last night like the responsible early rising adult I strive to be in this world.

I should point out I knit at lunch again so...

It's off the needles!!!

 So happy Wednesday. 
I'm going to block her tonight and Friday I'll give you the full head shot. 

*wine is never advisable while doing stranded colorwork espeically when you can't remember where you were four years ago, however it did make for a nice evening.

Finished Object

I'm not good at keeping surprises a secret...I get so excited that I usually blow it. Well not this time... I knit this sweater for Bump and had the buttons custom madefor it by Buttons by Robin, a wonderful shop on Etsy... She used a photo of Rupert that I emailed her...Rupert is their (Bump, C & M's) family dog... I couldn't post a photo until they had received the sweater which arrived on their doorstep last night... Oh how I wish I could have been there when they got it! It turned out amazing! W.I.P

Bears Barn Owl. We had a hockey game last night and while I'm normally so wrapped up in the game that I don't have time to knit, that was not the case last night. Silvertips have had a rough go and the Red Deer Rebels really wolloped them last night. So I knit. I ate some dingleberries. Delicious. and I knit some more. I have a feeling I'll be finishing this bad boy up by tomorrow and he'll be the star of the retreat. Isn't his color wonderful?
