Please Forgive me.....

Dear Family and dear friends, It's come to my realization that I tend to bite off more than I can reasonably chew in one mouthful (maybe two mouthfuls). Today is October 28th. Christmas is now less than two months away and I had grand plans, GRAND PLANS, to make everyone something from me. Something that would be filled with love, care, joy, and all the good things I feel towards you. However, I must apologize in advance and ask that you should you receive a gift card for Christmas rather than something knit that I send all the warm, knitterly feelings with it and know that a package should be arriving in the future. For now though, I'm going back to my current love affair with Plymouth Yarn's Kudo and finishing a gift for someone very special. Don't worry mom, the picture isn't ruining your gift, your's is all done burning a hole in it's bag.

Family Night....

It's Wednesday October 21, 2009 and in a way it's a family night. It's my nephews birthday. My brothers first son, and when I spoke to my brother on the phone I asked. "can you believe it's been four years?". I can't. I remember the day I found out my nephew was born. Maria brought me a post it note with all the specs on it because I was on hold with an insurance company. I was sad I missed the call, but thrilled at the event. Especially since I was able to see him a couple weeks later. They are celebrating tonight 3,000 miles away but they are in my thoughts, always. My nephew on my husbands side came next. Dale's younger brother and his partner gave us another nephew. I was there for that one. All I can say is wow......and wow again. Then my brother gave me one more and he'll be 3 soon. My question is this, how does time pick up speed as we get older, when we start moving slower, things go faster? I don't think it's fair. I don't know

Happy Anniversary to Me...and my husband

The Pictures listed above are from Butchart Gardens in Victoria. Three weeks ago tomorrow my husband and I were officially married for 6 years. We've lived together for 10 years. The first 1.5 of those years as roommates. It's been great. Most years we've tried to do something special for our anniversary. The first year we did a series of day trips from Vancouver, B.C., Mt Rainier, and Lake Quinalt. The second year I don't think we did anything. I think it came and went. Our third year, D booked us on a 13 day trip to DisneyWorld. It was fabulous. Let me be the first to tell you. You don't have to have kids to do this trip. In fact, if you want to go outside of DW it's best if you didn't. We did everything you could do in Orlando Florida those 13 days in October. This year, we went to Victoria, Canada . It was beautiful. We caught the Victoria Clipper boat downtown Seattle on Thursday morning and by !0:45 we were there. Everything is within walking dista
