California on my Mind... Part I

Have you ever had a vacation so amazingly wonderful that you just couldn't bounce back into your 'real' life? That's what I'm struggling to do right now... bounce back into my normal routine which does not include; ocean views valet parking nightly turn down service of your bed with two little chocolates waiting on your pillow Seriously. Dark delicious chocolate on my pillow each night. At least I took a lot of pictures of our adventures and I can take a few moments each day to fantasize that I'm back in Pacific Grove, Monterey, cruising up to Big Sur, walking the beach with mom, waking up to an ocean breeze fluttering the curtains in my hotel room.  Wednesday we arrived in Pacific Grove, about two hours south of San Francisco, and when we woke up Thursday morning this is what we saw...   Then we had lunch and this was the view    That pretty much covered day 1  I visited a yarn shop in Pacific Grove but that will be

Thank you

To all my friends and family who called, texted, and posted via social media to wish me a happy birthday. Words can not express how much each and everyone of you mean to me in every aspect of my life. I loved seeing your messages all day long. It made the whole day full of love. I a glorious weekend with my mom in Pebble Beach visiting Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel-by the-Sea, the Carmel Valley and we even braved the cliffs up to Big Sur! We dined well, had great company, and just enjoyed being together in a way that I cherish. Thank You Thank You Thank You from the bottom of my heart. You have made it overflow with joy. Carmel

40 Years...

today is the day.  Today I've officially knocked down 40 years.  40 years ago today I was born.  I met my mom for the first time, and my dad.  I met my older brother.  I was in Wyoming at Big Horn County Hospital.  I flew to Seattle with my family a few days later.  In 40 years I;  have traveled to many places with my mom and with my husband  learned who I am and who I want to be  have friend who I cherish more than anything  have loved many many dogs, cats, and other random animals that have crossed my path.  right now, at this time in my life I am in a great place and I wouldn't change it for anything.  So while today is my 40th it's also the 40th anniversary of the day I became my moms little girl.  that's pretty cool  Happy Friday
