Agnes

I cast on a *bulky pullover this weekend. Easy, top down, size 11 needles. Already separated the body from the sleeves. Now I have a debate going on in my head. The pattern calls for a hidden pocket. I'm not opposed to the pocket. I'm also not sure if I want to add the pocket.  It might be a fun feature. It might cause me to say some not so lady-like words while I make it. I know summer is just starting to ramp up here in the PNW but I'm already excited for fall so I can wear my new sweater. Back to the pocket debate. What are your thoughts? Pocket? No Pocket? What color should my pocket be? It calls for a contrasting yarn. Welcome to a Tuesday that feels like a Monday and is also a month end at the office. Bam. I need more coffee... Pockets.  *Pattern is Agnes by Melissa LaBarre for Quince and Co. Yarn is cascade 128 tweed in charcoal.

Just Knit

Some days you just need to sit down and knit.  Yes you have a list a mile long of things that need to get done.  Have to get done.  Must get done in order to move forward with other plans.  I'm having one of those days.  I'm having a 'crazy' day.  My head feels crazy.  I have these days.  Not a lot, but from time to time.   Days where I know I'm teetering on the rails.  Trying to regroup and pull myself back on the tracks.  I can feel them building up during the week but keep putting it off because I don't have time.  I'm the type of crazy that needs to pencil in a breakdown day.  I don't have time though and what happens is what is happening now... I shut down and just need to be.  Poor D. He has to deal with me during these moments.  The hardest part is that I can't articulate verbally what's happening in my head.  You want someone to understand but you can't explain how you want them to understand

Back in the Saddle...

It's been a few years since I took my bike riding seriously. To be fair doing two rides in 3 weeks doesn't necessarily mean I'm taking it seriously now, except the first ride was all up hill or down hill and yesterday's ride didn't have any steep climbs it had some very, very long uphill climbs. Picture the mountain climber on the Price is Right and you will have a very good idea of how I get up hills on my bike. image found on Google via Pinterest Slow and steady making a few stops along the way. Words of wisdom from my husband and bike fitter Smiley 'Never get off the bike' Stop. Rest. Drink some water. Keep your butt in the saddle. Unfortunately my saddle isn't fitting the same as it did last year when I rode. So I will be heading in to R&E Cycle this weekend to get fitted for a new seat. Today it feels like my left butt cheek and right butt cheek are on a teeter totter. It was a beautiful morning/afternoon for a 45 mile
