You don't have to wait for fall -- just crank up the A/C and wear em now! That's what I was doing last summer when I knitted a pair of socks each month for the whole year!
@Kelly: traditionally houses in the NW don't have air conditioning because it never gets that hot for that long here in the summer. @Lynn: So excited for Banks, but equally excited for the Hydro races tomorrow... @Julie: I have been seeing this yarn around ravelry and just fell in love with it however it corresponded with the time I fell out of love with sock knitting...the fact that I knit short socks makes it easier...
My kiddoes are going to Sun Lakes the week after labor Day with a repeat group. My son misses Banks but there are no accomidations that fit all the aspects of the group. Boats tents cabins pool golf and dogs. I was thinking of Banks last week and how much we miss it. That sock yarn is marvelous, love love the way they turned out.
I guess they have had these reservations for years where they are going, I think there is soething like 30-50 people. Me I still like Banks best. if we ever decide to go again i will contact you to see who has cabins that allow dogs. Got to have our "special babies' along with our regular ones.
